Lorraine Penn:

I started my working career as a commercial accountant in advertising, drafting and computing enterprises.

After twelve years I changed direction and entered into sales and marketing functions within the computer industry whilst maintaining financial control of three computer-related services within the same organisation.

The desire for another career change placed me into the private vocational education and training market where I worked for private providers in senior positions for another five years until I challenged myself further by entering TAFE NSW in the capacity of Commercial Client Services Manager/Business Development Manager with the primary responsibility of providing business and marketing strategies and support for 12 Institute Business and Marketing Managers across New South Wales, Australia over a fourteen year period.

A relocation to the North Coast in 2008 enabled me to be appointed to the board of Enterprise & Training Company in Coffs Harbour http://www.etcltd.com.au

Since relocating to Coffs Harbour I have participated as a business mentor and given back to the community by participating in relevant projects.  One such project, President of Coffs Harbour Writers’ Group http://www.coffsharbourwriters.com over a five year period has encouraged my desire to write, including life’s stories about snip bits of life as in this blog.
